About us
- Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Social Sciences Studies & Research was established in the academic year 1986-87 by Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune under the able and dynamic guidance of Hon’ble Dr. Patangrao Kadam.
- It is one of the constituent units of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, established with a view to conduct research and academic programmes in social sciences.
- Every year the students across the country from J & K in the north to Tamil Nadu, Kerala in the south and from Gujarat in the west to Manipur in the Far East get attracted towards the Institute with their dreams to make career in Management and Social Sciences.
- Apart from India, the institute gets students from foreign countries as well.

Objectives
- To undertake research studies and encourage programmes for interdisciplinary research
- To promote and adopt special measures for the development of research in the unexplored areas
- To take such measures that will ensure from time to time to promote social science research and its utilization
- To arrange for technical training in research methodology and to provide consultancy and guidance for individual researchers and research institutions; and
- To conduct academic courses in management, social sciences and research leading to the degrees nomenclature as M.B.S., M.Phil and Ph.D.
