Admission Procedure
- Admission to the M.Phil. course shall be made in the month of July of the concerned academic year.
- Admission to M.Phil. Course will be made on the basis of written test, personal interview and percent of marks scored in M.S.W.
- The final selection will be made on the basis of merit in the written test, personal interview and percentage of marks in the M.S.W. Course. The written test will carry 100 marks and the personal interview will be of 50 marks.
- Reservation will be as per the Govt. of Maharashtra’s rules and regulations.
Scheme of Examination
The evaluation of the candidate’s course work will be a continuous process. Following shall be the scheme of examinationTheory Course
The theory courses will be examined by a panel of internal and external examiners that will be appointed by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.Dissertation
The dissertation will be evaluated by the respective research guide of the candidate and an external referee appointed by the University.Presentation on Research Work
The evaluation of the final presentation will be done by a committee consisting of the following members- A research guide who will be nominated by the Head of the Institute from the Panel of research guides.
- The dissertation supervisor. (i.e. Research guide of the concerned student).
- A representative of the M.Phil. Committee to be nominated by the M.Phil. committee.
Viva-voce
The viva-voce will be conducted by the external referee of the candidate. The Internal referee and the Director of the Institute will be the other two members.Rules of Passing
A student should obtain at least 50% marks in theory courses, dissertation, presentation and viva-voce.- If a student fails in any theory paper, he shall be allowed to re-appear for the subsequent examination of that theory paper by applying and paying required examination fees.
- Dissertation shall have the separate passing head for M.Phil. Programme. A student failing in Dissertation shall be allowed to resubmit the same in the revised form by incorporating the suggestions made by the referee along with the required fees.
Award of Class / Gradation
The gradation of the candidates for the M.Phil. degree shall be done according to the following grading system.Numerical Scale out of 100
O – Outstanding | 75 – 100 |
A – Excellent | 65 – 74 |
B – Very Good | 55 – 64 |
C – Good | 50 – 54 |
D – Fail | Less than 50 |
