Research Projects Completed

  • Social Work Practice in Hospitals and Health Institutions in Pune City: The project was funded by the parent organization i.e. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune. The study is a contribution to the professional Social Work field which has come out with certain concrete suggestions. It is published in the form of book.
  • Survey of Devadasis in Gadahinglaj: A survey of Devadasis in Gadahinglaj Taluka was conducted to know and understand the present socio-economic & health status of the Devadasis. The said project had been sponsored by the Govt. of Maharashtra.
  • Need Assessment Survey of the Elderly in Rural Area: This project was funded by the CASP a voluntary organization, in Maharashtra. The study has made an attempt to explore the needs and requirements of the elderly people living in rural India.

Following are the important ongoing research studies:
  1. Scope of Social Work Practice in the Elderly Care Institutions in Maharashtra.
  2. Identifying Markers as Determinants of Dementia including Azeimer’s: Sample Survey of Elderly in Pune City (In Collaboration with ILC-India).
  3. A Study on the Women in the Unorganized Sector in Western India.
  4. A study on the Need Assessment of NGOs Working in Pune District.
  5. A study on social contribution of industries in Pune City through C.S.R. programmes.
